In 2012, the Government has moved the late May bank holiday to the first weekend in June to celebrate the Queen Elizabeth II's diamond jubillee.  The Hunting of the Earl of Rone will also move the temporary new bank holiday weekend.

The custom will therefore take place over the weekend of  June 1 - 4.  Watch this space for details.
